Best major to go along with Pre-med?

<p>Hi guys. I'm planning on applying to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis, Rice, Northwestern, Tufts, Johns Hopkins, and such for a certain major and pre-medicine. I'm intersted in cellular biology or neurobiology or biology in general. But what's the best major that could go along with pre-medicine that would make me more preferable to medical schools? </p>

<p>My whole outlook stated above may be wrong, but please help? Thanks.</p>

<p>The one that you like the best is the best to insure high college GPA (this is important, major is not).<br>
I would advise to take genetics, physiology (for MCAT) and anatomy (for Med. School) in addition to other pre-req’s and whatever major you choose. As far as Med. School goes, they are OK with anything, music, business, art, language,…whatever.</p>
