Hi there guys I am extremely interested the environment and in the future I would like to try and find environmental solutions. So I was wondering if you guys had some suggestions for majors or double majors. I was thinking either chemical or environmental engineering then business school or like a business or economics and environmental science double major. Any suggestions are helpful and none are stupid so do not hesitate to post them.

also consider environmental science or environmental policy. If business ownership or partnership is the desired goal, then engineering would be better. If law school is in the picture, policy. Majoring in engineering and policy or business will be tough in most schools.

Thank you, that is very helpful @jkeil911

There are many many many options for you to explore

Agronomy…soil science, lots of biology, chemistry, and some physics required.
Horticulture…agroecology…want to farm?
Geology…hydrology…water resource management…lots of chemistry. Calc, and physics required.
Fish and Wildlife biology
Landscape architecture…design for sustainability.
Urban planning…design and plan for urban food agriculture systems for sustainability.
Ag engineering…water quality issues.
Economics…quantitative policy analysis of environmental issues…cost/benefit analysis.
Env science…lots of chemistry and biology required.
Env policy…don’t do this, do Econ instead with an environmental focus. You will have better quant skills which are valued for policy analysis.
Ag business…work for varied ag and food companies.
Env engineering.
Civil engineering.
