What kind of college education/college majors should I pursue to achieve this?

Is it best to major in Business admin/managerial econ and minor in a industry specific topic? Such as minor in engineering or computer science? Or is it the other way around?

My dream would be to obtain a senior position in sales and marketing for a video game publisher, developer, or other computer hardware/gadget developer such as Creative.

If you like marketing in general then you wouldn't necessarily need to major in Computer Science or Engineering. However, if you're interested in designing the video games themselves then a major in computer science wouldn't hurt. A computer science or engineering major might also get you into the door of companies that provide the flexibility for you to eventually go into marketing for computer gaming. If you like marketing more than you like being in that specific industry, then I would minor in computer science and major in marketing, or something of a similar nature. However, if you're really dead set on working in the gaming industry I would first major in computer science and minor in marketing. The biggest thing will be that you get internships within the industry while you're still in undergrad. Hopefully this helps.
