Best marine bio schools in Florida

I’m interested in a marine bio major but which colleges in Florida offer the best programs? Also I prefer closer to the coast

Florida State has a good program and also has a lab close to the coast:
[Coastal & Marine Laboratory](http://www.marinelab.fsu.edu/).

FSU offers graduate degrees in oceanography to the PhD: [Graduate Programs in Oceanography](http://www.ocean.fsu.edu/doc_mas.html)

The USF-Tampa College of Marine Sciences is based at an 11 acre facility on Tampa Bay waterfront in St. Pete next to USFSP campus. The college is graduate studies and research oriented.

[Welcome to the College of Marine Science, USF, St. Petersburg, Florida](<a href=“Welcome to USF College of Marine Science”>http://www.marine.usf.edu/)

Eckerd Colllege in St. Petersburg is on Boca Ciega Bay. The Galbraith marine science building is on the bay, they just completed the James Center for molecular and life science building. Eckerd offers undergrad. degrees in marine sciences with majors in marine bio, marine geo, marine geophysics, and marine chemistry. They have the largest number of Hollings Scholars in the country.

The University of Miami had a strong marine bio program. Most likely the strongest.
