I'm sure this has been posted countless amounts of times, but I'm wondering what the best study materials are to prepare for each section on the ACT. I'm a sophomore, so I'm pretty new to this stuff. I've taken a few practice tests and usually score around 27-29. I want to take the ACT this year so it's less stress next year. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone…?

Use The Real ACT Prep Guide (The Red Book) for its five official practice tests. I also used Princeton Review’s Cracking the ACT.

If you don’t mind me asking, what score did you get after using PR?

I got a 27 after working through Cracking the ACT. Leading up to the ACT, that was the only prep book I used. But, after using The Real ACT Prep Guide, my scores have increased quite a bit, so definitely get The Red Book.

What score are you aiming for on the ACT?

I also used the red book and cracking the act.

A 32-34 would be nice, but may be unrealistic for me. I’ll be sure to pick those books up soon.

Princeton review perfected my English and math, red book for reading and science

And I got a 33 with Princeton reviews 1296 questions (with my main weakness being reading and science), then I got the red book and got a 36
