Best meal plan AND Best PennCard option?

<p>I know that liberty is the most popular, but I dont want to waste money on too many meals or too many points. Also, would it not be better as a freshman to get to know people through eating in the cafeteria?</p>

<p>And, about getting the PennCard, should I sign up with PNC Bank or the Student Federal Credit Union? Are there credit card and debit options? Is it easy for my parents to transfer money into my account?</p>

<p>PNC and add the debit card option. There are extensive discussions about meal plans on CC Penn Thread but it is quite individual. I have friends who as Frosh paid for their meal plan but never set foot in a dining hall and others who ate practically every meal in a dining hall. You will have no trouble using up what you refer to as "points".</p>
