Hey everyone, I am currently a sophomore at my university that is pursuing a Computer Science Major. On the track I’m on as of now, I will graduate a semester earlier and was considering to take up a minor so I could graduate with my friends and have the full 4 years of a college. I’ve been considering taking a math minor which I only need 3 more classes to get while the other option was a computer engineering minor which I only need 4 more classes. Overall, I’ll still be graduating on time but I feel like a minor will look good on my resume. I am already on the SAE formula team here and plan to be an electrical system leader so might as well get a minor in computer engineering. I was considering business minor but that will leave me 2 semesters behind which I don’t want. I feel like a computer engineer minor would be more beneficial and sounds a lot more interesting than a math minor What I want is to hear what other people think and what you guys suggest.
Personally, I’d say math, because I feel there’s enough philosophy in it to help with the long haul.
But really, there’s no downside to either.
Bottom line: This is a really good problem to have.
You could choose not to get a minor and simply take more coursework that will broaden or deepen your knowledge of CS. That’s probably more valuable than the minor.
