Best non-honors dorm?

I'm confused about the whole dorm thing and since we have to wait until August 11 to find out dorm/roommate assignments, would anyone like to rate the non-honors dorms for freshman? Also I thought I remembered reading only freshman and sophomores live on campus? Is that true?

Also, just adding onto the Centh’s previous post.
Is there anyway to find out what dorm we are assigned or who our roommate is before August 11th?
Could you provide any ‘street/informal’ knowledge about the non-honors dorms for freshman?
(Most likely/Probably wrong but just using this as an example: Easton is very studious and quiet, has no a/c, rarely any parties, etc.)
Thank you!

Bumppp
Thank you!

here’s what I know:

1) Elkton and Easton dorms are so dirty and ppl are so noisy that some people can’t even study in their room. (maybe hyperbole, because that’s what Ellicott and Hagerstown people told me.)
2) i don’t know whether this is 100% true, but in Elkton, one guy threw parties 24/7 until someone complained to his Resident Director.
3) cockroaches <– s*it. i’ve never seen them in my life, but it’ll be really grossy
4) Freshmen will mostly live in north campus and all dorms there are traditional.
5) no A/C.
6) freshman dorms have coin- or card-operated laundry rooms, and lounges.
7) freshman dorms are not just for freshmen. there are also sophomores.
8) no carpet.
9) the gym’s nearby.

just for fun:
Calvin Hall opened in early 1910s. you can tell by its stylish 1900s design.

Freethinker…what do you know about Wicomico?

wicomico’s for honors humanities.

pros:
it’s a little bit better than elkton or easton.
number of residents is less than 200 (b/c the building’s small).
there’s a room in the first floor that is for honors classes.
close to the McKeldin library.

cons:
it’s a traditional-style dorm, just like elkton and easton.
this building is from 1950s.

Thanks for the info!
