Best non-white-collar jobs

What are the best non-white-collar jobs you think would most use the potentials of an MBA degree?

the very definition of a blue collar job is that it doesn't require extensive education (if any at all)... i.e. if you have an MBA (indeed even just a BA) why would you settle for a blue collar job?

I mean isn't that the whole point of going to school, so you don't have to flip burgers at Mickey D's? (or chase rats at KFC?... btw, I'm never eating KFC again - not that I ate it that often...)

I believe I misunderstood the expression "white collar job".

I was actually trying to say: jobs at offices, with mainly paperwork, lifetime indoor career; even traveling from building to building.

Are there any career paths in business/management/economics (or any other field you can enter with an MBA) that are mainly outdoors?

I mean, not all natural scientists are lab rats. Research can be done also outside. Architects work outdoors, etc.

Can I avoid becoming an "office rat"?

If just avoiding the office is your big thing, you could go into manufacturing. Much more "hands on".

ive heard that starting salary for janitors is higher than teachers at my HS

Geographical Surveying?

longshoremen - theyre unionized

construction management? Or maybe event planning...a lot of corporate events are outside and stuff...AND you get to go to the nicest hotels for free.

hey, that sounds interesting.
hadn't even thought about such things...

do you get an area in business specifically related to event management?

Entertainment Business
Hotel Management
Casino Management
Investment Banker
Entrepreneur
Human Resource Manager

Garbagemen,, no **** !
Dirty work pays good

but.....oil rig worker does take the cake...

I just love saying that......'does take the cake'....

it makes me feel all warm inside

For event management study something related to hospitality management and/or recreation management.

Im not sure this would totally avoid a office but sales would be good. If you work for a company in sales, you would be travelling alot, well depends on the company/corporation. But if its international, it would allow for less time in the office...^^^^LOL jimbob89, thats funny. suxx for the teachers.

ok, but usually travelling is like from one office to another office, and in between a plane or two, right?
