Best of luck to all the College Seniors

Good luck to all the college seniors going forward. For some senior families this is the end of the road. Our conference season ended on Sunday. I wish everyone the best of luck in the future..

My wife and I have travelled to all of my son's Ivy weekend baseball games since early March. While his team's season didn't meet expectations (for many, many reasons) his college baseball career exceeded expectations in so many ways. His team won their first conference championship in 2012, and he was a big part of it. He is not physically gifted like many others but he has a thorough understanding of the game and he doesn't beat himself. He worked his tail off in the classroom which showed me a constant desire to learn. I'm willing to bet that many of you see the same characteristics in your son or daughter and feel this pride too. Congrats!

We are thrilled with his choices, opportunities and experiences at a world class school. His college gave him the opportunity to be a true student & athlete, and for this we are grateful. To me, this is what college athletics should be about...competition and doing things you didn't think were possible. I truly believe the Ivy League, Patriot League, D3 NESCAC, and other high academic D3 conference have the right model for college athletics for those students that want to excel at academics and athletics equally well. This is what is right with college athletics. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Congrats to your son or daughter, and best of luck in their future endeavors. Their background of college athletics and education can take them far.

Well said, Fenway - I couldn’t agree more

I had the pleasure of watching your son get the save on his last day. What a wonderful ride it’s been; but you’re not done and have several more glorious years to enjoy!

We also took time off to enjoy the last season. I was a cauldron of emotions as he came off the field for the last time. Couldn’t sleep the night before or after - my mind was flashing randomly through the last 17 years of great memories.

Congratulations Fenway … And thanks for sharing as it’s a reminder to enjoy the journey as my son ends his high school time and begins a new adventure in college.

At this point I want to publicly thank Fenway for all the help and guidance and support he gave me ( the “mama”) during our crazy recruiting journey. And even if you all don’t know why it was crazy … I’ll share that in a few years. But trust me - I have a lot of stuff to pass on.

My point in posting this is not just to thank Fenway - and other amazing parents on CC AR like Vars ka Mary OC Ginger Peach STE MIT River runner - all of those parents - and more - helped. So many more that I’m sorry I’m not including more offhand. Also don’t want to make them searchable when they were just helping me out.

I hope all these parents stay around.

I want to echo chicagomama…x1000!!! I have learned so much and am still learning every day. Thank you so much, all of you. I started with my eldest a couple of years ago, and now I’m helping my second kid. I’ve still got two more so I’ll be around, lol. I hope I can help someone out, too.

Congratulations to all the graduating seniors, both high school and college! And congrats to your parents, who worked very hard to get to this point.
