* Best of the Best IVY LEAGUE *

Would anyone be able to give me (in order) the rankings of the Ivy Leagues? Thanks!

there arent rankings... this is just gonna make people mad. but to the general us public, i suppose it may go something like this:
harvard
yale
princeton
brown
columbia
upenn
cornell
dartmouth

but thats simply becuase of name recognition

I disagree with upenn... most people think upenn is penn state. It is a great school, but to most, cornell and dartmouth are much better known.

In terms of difficulty of getting in, I think it's something like this:

Harvard
Columbia
UPenn
Princeton
Yale
Dartmouth
Brown
Cornell

... but I haven't looked at the percentages lately, so I don't know for sure ...

I do know, though, that a lot more people get into Cornell (at least from my high school) than Harvard, UPenn, Dartmouth, etc.

I think columbia's definitely above Brown but below Yale, if we're going for name recognition. Maybe:

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Columbia
Brown
Dartmouth
UPENN
Cornell

i could agree with that, even though not too many people not on the east coast know what dartmouth is. but i guess that goes for upenn too?

From what I've read:

Princeton
Harvard
Yale
(the above universities always in the top 3)
Columbia
Cornell
Brown
U Penn
Dartmouth

lavender... last time i checked both princeton, yale and brown are harder to get into than upenn.

I've always heard Harvard and Yale being in the top 3. As for the 3rd one, in the top 3, I am not quite sure.
Would you guys happen to have the average SAT scores for the IVY's or a website where I can get the basic info before applying?

i think the princeton review website has some of that info. they also have a few student quotes about the school. www.princetonreview.com

oooh I disagree

I'd say:
Harvard
Princeton
Yale
Columbia
Dartmouth
UPenn
Brown
Cornell

Admission rates don't indicate how tough it is to get into a school.

PENN IS FOURTH in US News And World Report.
pwned.

i like babybird's list

except for the fact that brown definately comes before dartmouth. id switch them

The consensus among ppl I talk to:

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Columbia
Penn
Cornell
Brown
Dartmouth

A lot more people get into Cornell because its twice as big as most of the other schools, not because its any easier/worse (though I'll admit it isn't as prestigious as HYP)

harvard-yale-princeton

columbia-dartmouth-brown-upenn

cornell

Harvard
Princeton
Yale
Columbia
Penn
Cornell
Brown
Dartmouth

Yale
Harvard
Princeton
Penn
Coumbia
Dartmouth
Brown
Cornell
