Best off campus locations

Can some one please tell me the best off Camus housing for 5 people. Preferably a house or townhouse. Apartment would be fine though.

Rutherford Townhomes off Patrick Henry and N Main. It’s across from Food Lion and behind Carol Lee. They have 4 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and 1 den (which has its own bathroom) houses. Here’s a floorplan: http://techtownhomes.com/images/rt_floorplan.jpg

A few groups of my friends have lived there and the cost is reasonable. Some of the big property management companies own some houses there, as well as private owners. Privately owned places are definitely the best way to go, if you can find one (they’re maintained better & generally cheaper).

Don’t forget to the check out the Housing Fair in Squires later this month!

My daughter just recently signed a lease with Collegiate Suites. We went to see it and it was really nice. The web site is [UMI Communities](http://www.udicommunities.com/blksburg-collegiate.html). She got a 4 bedroom unit with 4 baths, walk in closets and a laundry room. I don’t know if they have units for 5 people but I guess someone could always share a room.

What is the rent on that UMI apartment? I checked the website and I don’t see any rental $$
info.

Before you book a townhouse, apt etc make sure to confirm that 5 unrelated tenants in one unit meets the zoning regulations. If not, the town can and will boot someone out.

Approx $390 a month plus utilities.
