My son’s IB high school does not offer straight Calculus and the IB Math HL teacher is less than desirable. Does anyone have experience with an online AP Calculus course? How was it? Who was the provider?

KhanAcademy.org has useful supplementary study materials for calculus. Check the websie to see what is available for AP Calculus.
The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth is also a great option. My son took his AP Calculus course through them, got a 5 on the exam.

Just a note especially since this is for Calculus, you should get an online school that truly teaches Calculus and its various applications rather and is very comprehensive than just regurgitate from the book. Something with videos would be especially helpful.

AoPS courses are great, as long as you recognize that they are much deeper and more challenging than typical high school equivalents.
