So I took two APs online this last year (Junior) because the school I moved to offered significantly less APs then my old school. Much to my dismay these became almost pure self studies. My AP Environmental Sci was a lot of busy work that was hardly related to the exam and little teacher interaction (having taken AP Bio saved me). My AP Macro was almost pure book based with again little interaction but at least less work. The course though did not give me a good enough idea of the test's format something I only realized a few weeks before my test. I took these through aventa learning something I do not suggest to anyone, but the most self dedicated student (I'm not one of those students that can study the weekend before and get a 5, my brain takes absorbing time).

The only good thing about aventa was it gave me flexibility on my timeline of submitting assignments but that was almost too much. I've already taken AP US 4, AP Bio 4, AP Gov 5, plus the AP enviro 4 and AP Macro 3. US and Bio were taken as a sophomore and I believe that Enviro and Macro could have been 5's in a class environment.

So I guess I'm just asking what online courses people have been most successful with, how strenuous they are, and what the learning environment was like.

Next year I already plan on taking AP Lit and had planned on Calc but my school canceled the class.

In the best environment Id like AP Physics and Calc (online scares me for math)

Most likely I'm considering between Micro, World His, Comp Gov and maybe Human Geo or Euro his

Any advice would be great! I'm just a little discourage about this because of my previous experiences with online and my understanding of how poorly I self study. I also encourage others to ask questions along the same lines.
