“ivy day” has a harsh one for DS, who was rejected at all but the one he was waitlisted at (my DH’s alma mater, so likely a “courtesy waitlist”). A few days later he was accepted at Tufts and Swat. He’s absolutely thrilled to be at Swarthmore now. And we’re thrilled he’s there, it’s been perfect for him. We didn’t allow talk of “first choices” but he told us later P’ton was his first choice, and Swat his second. That prior wall of “NO FIRST CHOICE TALK” helped a lot. Oh, and I (jokingly) told DH that NO MORE MONEY TO P’ton!
