Best Part of College

A lot of people ask what the worst part of college is, or what the biggest problems are. So, what do you think is the BEST part of college (vs high school or otherwise)?

-A large variety of classes, interests and majors to choose from
-A TON of free events, items, food
-More people from areas other than your little hometown (in my case)
-More freedom from the parents

Being completely autonomous.

Getting to live with/basically next door to so many of your closest friends. I love being able to just make plans spontaneously. Not to mention, you always get to eat meals with different people, hang out at night, study together, etc. I do a bunch of activities like community service with my friends too. It’s awesome always having friends around you! I honestly can’t imagine not living at school and getting the whole social college experience in addition to the academic learning.

the dorms

financial aid

NOT.

Living with your friends.

Not always. This could also turn out to be the worst part of college! Unless you mean new friends. Then yes, it’s really cool to get to always be able to hang out with new college friends.

Some of the classes are brilliant, plenty of organizations with like-minded people, otherwise there hasn’t been much that compels me to stay longer than I have to. Heck I’m considering taking more summer courses next year to get ahead.

Lol, I meant the people I’ve met. Living with old high school friends can be a disaster. But I don’t have any old high school friends, so non-issue. :)

-Freedom
-Lack of real world stresses (bills, worrying about being broke, worrying about food, etc)
-Access to things that are otherwise not free in real life (i.e. the school gym)
-Learning REALLLY interesting things once in a while. (but then again you can learn reallly interesting things at any point in life…)

I’ll be the chauvinist…I’d be positively suicidal if my school didn’t have a massive population of extremely attractive women (in terms of eye candy). So that’s the best part of college IMO.

Studying what I love. Also, research opportunities with world class experts in their field.

Calm down, this isn’t a graduate school interview.

not sure what the point is in an attractive student body is if they’re all out of reach

@RioBravo…Ever watched porn? Same thing…out of reach but still nice to watch.

Not all college students are interested in chasing bimbos or getting drunk to the point of no return.

@UAKid you better believe I have… and good point.

@Glasss give getting drunk a chance, it’ sawesome, heck I’m faded right nwo!!

I’d say graduating.

The academic-like ambiance… All I need is some strong coffee and a good book.

This is why I go to college. Learning. Growing. :)
