Best path for me?

I am a rising senior, pretty smart but I haven't applied myself much in high school. I always do well on standardized tests, compared to my GPA. I took the SAT in June, and now I'm taking it again October 6th.

I got: R: 540 M: 720 W: 530

I am very good in math but struggle in English. What is the best thing I can do to improve my grade? I am willing to buy any book and take time to study it. I am hoping for around 1350 in October.

if u are a senior then just take a prep class and cram as much as possible and try to break 2000.

I don’t have time for a class there’s only a month left. I’m going to self study. What would you recommend?

I’m confused:
Your June score was 1790 and you want your October score to be 1350?

More SAT practice test maybe?

He meant combined reading and math score.

Yeah sorry I meant out of 1600. Kids at my school only talk about it out of 1600 so it’s a habit to say it like that.

practice and ask your teachers since atleast at my school they have many sample standardized tests. GL

More SAT practice test for sure. You only need to raise 90 points. You should also know that most schools are superscore your SAT / ACT scores.

Unless you are sure you can raise your score significantly by October, I would suggest you take the exam in November or December so that you have more prep time. Since you already scored 720 on the Math section, you can buy Dr. Chung’s SAT Math book which may help you pull the score to an 800. I can see your weakest section is critical reading, what part exactly? If it is sentence completion, I’ve heard that Direct Hits is great. As for writing, visit Silverturtle’s guide.
