Best paying majors: Finance vs Econ/math minor

Whats going guys I have a question regarding what would be the best paying business major fresh out of college assuming one has great grades and interships and all the good stuff. I know this may sound shallow but I come from a family of a single mom where money has always been a problem and I would like to change that for myself in the future through hard work in college. I know I could get good grades in both majors but i also know in finance unless you go to a target school its hard to break in to a good paying career like IB. How is the job market for a econ/math major? I will be transfering to non targets schools next semester like uMiami, University of Southern California, University of Florida, University of Washington, or Emory. My ultimate goal is to get into a Top B-school MBA program. Which one of the two is more sought out in the real world now?

BTW any salery of 50-60k to start out would be good for me.

**My ultimate goal is to get into a Top B-school MBA program. **
Definitely Finance because it provides the most job safety. In addition, the skills you learn from finance will be useful when you get your MBA. Econ/math is too theoretical.

^ Finance provides the most job safety? In what world?

Those schools you listed will probably be recruited by a lot of F500 companies for corporate finance jobs which should pay between 45-60k depending on location. Economics, at good but not amazing school, usually isn’t a very good major to use to get into the corporate world.

Thanol is right on target.
