Best place for off-campus appartment renting in St. Louis?

As an enrolled student for Specialized Masters Program, I can't live in a dorm, so could you recommend the best place to rent an appartment not far from Wash U? Consider that I am also going to buy a car there (not sure about parking places)
Thanks in advance :)

Hi! I am a senior undergrad at wash u. I lived off campus this past year, and will be living off campus again this year. If you have a car in St. Louis, your options for renting are numerous (you can definitely live as far as the Central West End), but keep in mind that parking passes for WUSTL’s campus are very expensive, and it still can be hard to find parking on campus during the day.

If you would like to be able to walk to campus, try renting in University City (most students live in between the loop and campus, in the neighborhood ranging from Washington Ave. to University Dr.) Most of the undergrads rent through Roberts Realty in this area.
There are also many apartments south of Skinker-- try Waterman or Pershing. Lots of students rent entire houses and if you check some of the Wash U housing facebook groups, it may be possible to rent a room in one of these houses. There are also WashU-owned apartments (many of them are single-person) that are still available for rent-- contact ResLife and see if graduate students can live in them.

There are also apartments and houses all along Forsyth Blvd. Another popular place is the Dorchester which is on Skinker and within driving distance of school (or probably a 20 minute walk).

Hope this was helpful, or that you have already made arrangements!
