Does anyone know a good place to apply for scholarship? I have three forms in front of me, but those are all I've found from my school... And times kind of running out.

There's always fastweb.com, but I would stick to local stuff. Check your newspaper, local businesses, and Kiwanis or Rotary Clubs are likely to have scholarships.

I agree with DancingFeet..stay local. Fastweb is a lot of work and you never seem to actually know someone who gets anything..too big a pool, in my opinion.

Go on high school websites in your area, click on the counseling page. Most schools will have detailed information. I've found over 20 in the Detroit Area this way.

Another option is to google scholarships specific to you, your hobbies, or your major. I personally think fastweb.com is a good source as it provides a lot of information about local business scholarships that you may not know of yet. Plus my son did win a $10,000 scholarship that he never would have known about if it weren't for fastweb. To each his own though.

What did he win it for? If you don't mind me asking.

It was the Mercedes Benz Drive Your Future scholarship. He gets $2,500 each year for four years. Sadly, they have opted not to offer the scholarship this year but he and the other recipients will still receive what they were promised. Thank goodness!
