Best place to live on campus at TAMU Galveston??

Considering this school if I am not admitted to main campus, what is the best dorm and what is the best way to go about finding a roommate? Is getting a random a good idea or no?

When I lived on campus at TAMUG in '82, the C dorm was brand spanking new and quite nice. In fact, it was still being “finished-up” when we moved in. Last time I was there a few years back, C dorm looked fairly rough. Not sure what the best options today are . . . .

There are two new dorms that I think are identical and are really nice. I believe they are pacific and Atlantic. My son lived there freshman year and really liked it. Good luck! My son and 5 of his friends all transferred to CS for sophomore year.
