What are some of the students' favorite places to eat on campus?

The Loop (pizzas, burgers salads)
Law/Divinity Refectories (organic, healthy, DELICIOUS food)
Marketplace (brunch/lunch especially) (all you can eat buffet)
Grace’s Cafe (Asian)
Blue Express (lots of random stuff)
Alpine Bagels (great bagels and sandwiches)
Joe Van Gogh (coffee)
The Perk and Twinnies (cafes)
Pauly Dogs (hot dogs)
Greek Devil (Greek food)
Devil’s Bistro (variety)
Freeman center (buffet)

There’s a lot of great food and variety. If you’re sick of food on campus, there’s also Merchants on Points:

[Duke Dining Services: Merchants on Points Deliveries](<a href=“Duke Student Affairs”>Duke Student Affairs)

Marketplace isn’t all you can eat buffet for lunches, that’s a la carte.

The Great Hall is the West Campus version of Marketplace except it’s always a la carte

Blue Express is great southern cooking but only for lunches

There’s also twinnie’s on the e-quad, a regular cafe/sandwich shop

There’s also the armadillo grill for tex-mex.

A bunch of fast food options (Subway, McD’s, Chick-fil-A, Panda Express)

Tommy’s is a great diner but out of the way (good ribs)

My most common places are loop, great hall, alpine bagel, mcdonalds, panda express, armadillo grill, and tommys. Of those, best food is at loop and tommys. But if you live on west you really have to eat everywhere because you get bored with the same place(s) after a while.

You’ll probably get bored with the selection on west anyway after a while. But then again, that’s why many people frequent the off campus eateries or order from merchants on points on a regular basis.

My friends and I were always very loyal to the Refectory…mmmmmm…

loco pops is the deal

Hey, what do you guys recommend for someone who is a vegetarian?

^refectory

Blue Express is hands down the best eatery on campus

Unfortunately, the blue express suffers from its out of the way location and as a consequence it’s bad business hours. It’s only open for breakfast and lunch on the weekdays.

But I agree, definitely a great place to go for a quick, hot, and delicious (almost) home-cooked meal whenever you happen to be on Science Dr./E-Quad/Medical Center
