Best Political Schools

Which schools are the best in terms of their political activities. For example, College dems/reps, political clubs, Model Congress/UN, activism, etc. Thanks

What types of schools do you like and what region of the US? What range stats for getting accepted?

The #1 school that comes to mind is Georgetown in DC (School of Foreign Service), but I’m thinking of it as a major.
There are oodles with activities - far too many to list.

Wesleyan’s always been pretty political. Two alum are now competing with each other for the Democratic nomination for president.

If you are looking for political activity, most non commuter schools have a lot of political activities. It is just the nature of putting a bunch of 18-22 year olds together.

@Creekland I was sort of aiming my question towards elite universities, because I’m trying to narrow down my reach schools. Thanks everyone!

Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Georgetown.

Public flagships are exceptional when it comes to campus activism. Schools like Wisconsin-Madison, Michigan-Ann Arbor, Cal, Colorado-Boulder, Texas-Austin, UVa etc…

washu in st louis!! It’s an elite university itself and the political science department specifically is ranked among the top

Swarthmore…if you’re looking for a top LAC.

would add UNC into this list as well - super politically active student body and they have a great school of government as well
