<p>What would be the best pre-med major at Miami?
The Major that would allow my science GPA, and overall GPA to be competitive enough to apply to Med school eventually...
I know I am not limited to the sciences, when it comes to "pre-med,"
but what would you recommend?</p>
<p>Biochemistry and philosophy majors have the highest acceptance rates to med school.</p>
<p>But pick whatever you’re interested in.</p>
<p>What do you want to do? It seems silly to pick a major just because it’s a good way to go to reach a goal.</p>
<p>I recommend you do what you enjoy.</p>
<p>I went to the accepted students orientation at UM this past weekend and one of the art & sciences advisors said she’s seen a lot of students major in chemistry or biology and minor in philosphy, women’s gender studies, etc. You can combine majors and minors with different schools. Also, you can double major.</p>
<p>I’ve also heard good things about the PRISM program. if you were invited to join look into it. I’m a transfer so I doubt I will be invited or qualify.</p>
