Best Pre-Med Programs

Hi! Is there a website that shows the statistics of the Undergraduate schools with Pre-Med Programs and the statistics for getting into a Medical School. Thanks!

School doesn't matter. Choosing a school for it's assumed ability to get you into medical school is a ridiculous way to go about choosing a college.

Further, many smaller schools that have very high acceptance rates to medical school often achieve that through having pre-med committees that students must "clear" before being allowed to apply to medical schools. Only those students who are very competitive in the admissions process get a letter of rec from the committee - and students who don't get that letter are often a huge disadvantage for trying to get letters from other professors. This doesn't happen at all schools with pre-med committees but does happen.

The key thing for choosing a school to be pre-med at is just like it would be for any other major - fit. You need to find the school that will be the best fit for you - a place where you can achieve academically, socially, and emotionally. You need a place that will provide a solid pre-med curriculum (pretty much any place with decent science programs - they don't need to be "top" programs b/c you'll mainly be taking the intro classes only), a place where you can get involved on campus, where you can volunteer in a patient environment, where you can find research opportunities, and still have a sanity saving social life. Med school admissions is a very holistic examination of the applicant, and so you need to achieve in all areas.
