<p>Since there have been quite a few asking about that, I called and spoke with Nancy Tapko, the health professions adviser at Northwestern. For the past 3 years, the admit rate has been around "high 70s to low 80s%" for first-time applicants. According to her, NU DOES NOT practice any precertifying/prescreening to stop weaker applicants from proceeding like some other schools do. Northwestern is another pretty good school for premeds.</p>
