Honestly, I don't really believe the 90% and 95% success stories at many LAC's since they include DDS and other degrees in medicine. Does anyone know the top 10-20 schools that have the highest rates for sending students to get MD degrees?

Also, I'm a 1500 SAT, 750 SAT ii's, 4.2 GPA student...should I go to a regular university for premed, so I can get a 4.0 GPA or should I go to a top 20 university?

The real reason why you shouldn't believe those 90-95% ratings from some of those LAC's is that many of them run a 'selective-letter' policy. Every med-school applicant has to supply a letter from the Dean or other administrator at their undergraduate school attesting to their good standing. Many undergrad schools will supply these letters only to those premeds who the school administrators think have a very good shot at getting into med-school. That obviously greatly skews the % success stories numbers - any school can make their acceptance numbers look really good by simply refusing to let lesser candidates apply.
