<p>Whats the best prep book for AP Computer Science?</p>
<p>There isn’t exactly a best AP book for Computer Science.
The course when I did it last year was focused around Java Programming.
If you’re really focussed on getting a good grade you want to get a course outline and study each topic independently and in detail. Furthermore, general tip for programming in any language - never buy a big book from your local library that teaches you about programming in a specific language.
Back to computer science - every book will give you complicated explanations for the different concepts, so maybe getting one book may be helpful, but its best if you use the internet to understand the concepts.
Cheers!</p>
<p>I hear Barron’s is a great prep book.</p>
<p>I recommend 2 books:</p>
<p>Barron’s –> Has fairly good explanations, and has very very tricky questions. The key to this book isn’t that you need to get them all right, it’s that you need to make sure you really understand why you got each question wrong. In comp sci there arent too many careless errors, it’s mostly mistakes in logic or something like that – so just make sure you thoroughly review this book as a learning tool.</p>
<p>Once you’ve gone through Barron’s and now want to see if you’re ready…</p>
<p>Litvin’s Be Prepared for the AP Computer Science Exam in Java –> fairly similar to actual test questions. They also explain concepts fairly well, so this is a great resource.</p>
<p>Other than that, I would practice the free response from the previous years. Do all that and you should be fine :)</p>
<p>Good luck~!</p>
<p>Hi, I am promoting something in this post. I have created a Java video tutorial covering the requirements(Java subset) of the AP Computer Science A exam.
It’s made in an easy to follow step by step manner. It’s only 4 hrs long, and every topic is covered in detail.
Every concept is taught using a simple program. There is also a small project to tie everything up.
I have 1.5 hrs of the 4 hr toutorial free at [Java</a> in 4 hrs - Step by Step Video Tutorial - YouTube](<a href=“Java Tutorial for Beginners - Made Easy - Step by Step - YouTube”>Java Tutorial for Beginners - Made Easy - Step by Step - YouTube)
I assure everyone who watches the video, you will ace the AP Computer Science exam or I will refund the money.
Go ahead and give the sample chapters a try.
Take a look at the 16th part class and object just to get a hang of it here [P16</a> Class & Object - Java in 4 hrs step by step - YouTube](<a href=“P16 Class & Object - Java in 4 hrs step by step - YouTube”>P16 Class & Object - Java in 4 hrs step by step - YouTube)
