Any recommendations for the best ACT science prep book?
Trying to raise my 26/28 in science to a 32/33
thanks

bump same here

bumpppppppppp

Using a prep book for science is a waste of time, imo. You just need to take practice tests, and the questions you get wrong, look at WHY you got them wrong, and focus on those areas. If, for example, you get a bunch of passage questions wrong, reevaluate your passage strategy and whatnot.

everyone I have asked has said just practice with old test. keep retaking the science parts each time with a different strategy till u find one good for u

Taking timed practice tests worked best for me, after 3 of them I could consistently get a 35 or 36. Take all the ones in the real ACT book and more if you can find them to try and find what strategy works best. Most people I know that have done well read the questions first.

Make sure to be careful about taking practice Science tests separately, as I’ve found that my mind has really worn out by that time on the real test, especially if you use all of the time to complete the Reading section. Taking Reading and Science sects back to back may be something to try after a couple practice rounds.

Thanks for the advice.
Yeah, I’ve just been taking science practice tests. My problem? I am able to answer all the questions (in the nick of time) and I realize that I’ve gotten 4-5 wrong. I go back to try to figure out what I’d done wrong and for all of them, I quickly realize that I made stupid mistakes. I don’t know how to help this! It drastically brings my score down and I just feel more nervous because the real exam is coming up soon. Ugh.
