What are the best prep books (princeton, barrons, sparknotes, mcgrewhill, etcetc)
for whatever sat ii subject test?
(Like bio, chem, history, etc)

I'm going to take chem and world history this october and was curious which prepbooks are the best.

And then I thought it would be good for everyone if good prepbooks for all the other tests are listed too!

Barron's is the most thorough for Chemistry and has ridiculously hard practice tests which are good for preparing for a variety of questions. McGraw Hill explains things well but has really easy practice tests compared to the real thing. Those are the two books I used so that's the only advice I can give pretty much.

Thanks ^^ helps a lot.

Chem:

I suggest Baron for thorough lessons and hard tests. Kaplan for also the lessons, but not the tests. I don't believe in PR haha. McGrawHill is good for reviewing a few days before the test

WH:

Use REA for many details. Kaplan is organized VERY VERY WELL. Barons focuses on too manypeople that are insignificant. And the organization can give you a headache. PR is like a concise guide a few days before the test.

Hope this help.

BTW, got 800 on chem, maybe 750+ on world hist =]

thank you sooo much !
