What are the best prep books for Math level 2? So far in high school I have taken: algebra 1, geometry, and algebra 2 (i will take honors precalc next year). Im a year behind most juniors in math, but some colleges i want to apply to require the math 2 subject test.

I assume i will need lots of practice since i havent taken trig/calc at all.

Which books are the best?

Heres what i plan on getting, unless someone changes my mind:
1. The Official SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics Levels 1 and 2 Study Guide

Cracking the SAT Math 1 & 2 Subject Tests, 2009-2010 Edition - Princeton Review

Barron's SAT Subject Test Math Level 2 with CD-ROM

The Official Study Guide for All SAT Subject Tests

I am in the same exact position as you, so I’m interested to see what others have to say about this as well…

Math II only covers material up to pre-cal, inclusive. You need trig, but not calc. Get the official books and either Barron’s or PR.

If you’ve taken precalc, algII, geometry, then the Math II should be a breeze. The average Precalc student should be able to get a 750+, without much effort. As far as prepatory material, I used theartofproblemsolving.com (go to community/contests/USA/AMC12)

If you can get 100+ on AMC12 you should be fine.

The Official Study Guide for All SAT Subject Tests & The Official SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics Levels 1 and 2 Study Guide contain some of the same tests. Only get the latter because it has the test that is included in the former in addition to another test.
