Best Prep Books for SAT Biology?

What are the best prep books for SAT Biology? I know it varies depending on the person and the time allocated to study, but in general are there any books that stand out? Also, are there any lesser-known but still useful review books other than the major ones (Barrons, Kaplan, PR, Spark Notes, etc.)?

cliffs.

10.

Is Cliffs better than the books mentioned above in some regard?

well its suppose to be for the ap exam. however its very concise. as long as you have a good background knowledge of bio you should be fine with cliffs. barrons seriously over prepares you. and a little too wordy for me. haven’t tried the others. btw, everyone here on cc basically recommends cliffs.

^^ Only for AP Bio. I’ve never heard anyone reccomend cliffs for SAT. I’m probably gonna get PR and then if I have time after studying for that and the U.S. test, I might go through barrons. I’ve still retained most of the info from studying for the AP test, so PR should be fine.

Would reading Barrons several times straight through in conjunction with at least one other prep book be sufficient for at least a 750?

based on what i read on here about barrons, it sounds like reading through and understanding, and retaining just that would certainly be good enough for a 750

Anyone else who has used Barrons by reading is straight through?

are the Sparknote online SAT Biology practice tests pretty close to the actual SAT Biology tests or are they all quite a stretch.

The best one is Cliffs if ur studyin the concepts and etc. but the best practice tests r from the Collegeboard and Barron’s. i’m not sure bout princeton or kaplan…

Nah, I like AP PR better than Cliffs.

Those will probably over prepare you too much and unnecessarily though, so got with an SAT II review book- Barron’s or PR.

Cliffs has a ton of info packed into a small amount, with no garbage words in it. PR is a little easier read and has more pictures, charts, etc. I just picked up barron’s at the library 2day so we will see about it.
