Best prep books for SAT?

What books are the best for the SAT? All I have is the blue book and I finished it today. Are there any other ones that are good? I was thinking of getting Princeton reviews, but it has terrible reviews on amazon. Thanks!

IMO,OG OC & real SAT tests is the best

is---->are

The princeton review was pretty good imo haha
Also barron’s is helpful, especially if you’re aiming high.

@Alpha what’s OC and OC?
@candian are you talking about barron’s 2400?

is kaplan really good too? i’m using that.

I agree with canadian2013. The Princeton Review was pretty good in my opinion. I would definitely recommend that. If you’re aiming for a 2100+, I’d recommend Barron’s 2400. The CR section is great. I credit Barrons 2400 for helping me to get my CR score to 770-800.

I looked through a Kaplans SAT prep book, and I didn’t like it. My sister also used it, and it didn’t help her. Her score actually WENT DOWN after she went through it. In my opinion, Kaplan is inaccurate and too easy. It dumbs down the SAT.

are you talking about the princeton review 11 tests book?

use the official collegeboard prep book
+
use the annual practice papers for the last 6-7 years or something from collegeboard. you can easily find them online or on this website.
+
try to obtain some qas’s from your friends

IMO, it would be more useful to redo all the questions you missed in the blue book until you can get them all right. It doesn’t really matter if you memorize all the answers because you will also remember why you missed the problem.

Princeton Review is decent, but I think it’s slightly easier than the real thing. Get the one with 11 practice tests.
Barrons is decent
I wouldn’t use Kaplan.

Also, try to find all the previously released SATs and PSATs online (they are usually given out as practice).

No matter which test prep book you use, you could try this: start with a “harder” practice book, and then always end up using the official sat book. Hard → relatively easy, plus it’s crucial to see how the test-makers themselves think.

lol @ alpharev

I like The 32 most effect SAT math strategies.

^I agree. I just looked at Dr Steve’s book on Amazon. Like what I saw and ordered a copy
