Best Prep for the Lit Subject Test

Test board is slow so better to ask here I think. D is taking the Lit Subject Test in May. There don’t seem to be many sample subject tests floating around (we have found one sample). What would be the best way to prepare if there are no old test - or is there another good source for old tests?

Thanks!

My son did the practice test in the SAT real subject test book and nothing else. He did very well. He’s a fast reader who hates English classes.

My son did the same as robbietoy and also scored high, a 770. But he had already done really well on the cr portion of the SAT and I think that gave him confidence. It’s a hard test if the kid isn’t well read.

My son also had a high CR score. He thought it was very similar except with the addition of poetry. If you’ve had decent high school English classes you are probably pretty well prepared. If not, and if CR was not a good score you might be better off taking something else.

If you don’t complete a SAT test or portion, can you get a perfect 800 score?

So did you get a 740 or an 800?

Thanks for the input. On the one sample test we found, she scored a 680 - so I’m hoping that she doesn’t need too much help to get over 700.

Kaplan has 8 tests

I don’t think Kaplan’s tests are actual tests though.

They are considered to be the best
