Best preparation books for CR and Writing?

Hi

I'm an international student (UK) studying for the SATs. I've purchased Dr Chung's SAT Math's book which is amazing, but think I probably need to buy books for the CR and Writing sections of the test too. I already have the blue CB book but want some further material to help consolidate my knowledge. Does anyone know of any good books for the CR and Writing sections of the SAT?

Many thanks

You like Dr Chungs? How so?

Erica’s critical reader and writing books.

My son-in-law has heard many good things regarding Erica Meltzer’s SAT Grammar guide.

Ching Huang

Please note that Dr. Chung shouldn’t be your primary source for Math, as the book is solely a preparation for Level 4 and mostly Level 5 questions. Only start on Dr. Chung after hitting 700 mark.
For CR, Blue Book is your best choice. If you want to get better at understanding passages, read newspapers such as NY Times or The Economist. For vocab, Direct Hits Vol. 1& 2 and The Essential 500 Words.
For Writing, Sparknotes section on SAT Writing portion (online) and Barron’s 2400 are perfect.

Use the Blue Book for practice then and review ones you get wrong. Do TONS of practice tests.
