BEST PRIVATE STUDENT LOAN OPTIONS (Stafford is exhausted---- not enough Fin Aid)

<p>Curious if anyone looked at the various private companies and determined which is better for private student loans. My student reached max. for Stafford, so this is option. </p>

<p>Looking for the best rates, fixed rate, one with feature that eventually releases the parent co-signer--???<br>
Also need it quick with the fall approaching.</p>

<p>Used on PLUS loan, but a student can't consolidate it.</p>

<p>Also checking into if the interest is deductible.</p>

<p>Appreciate any feedback === need for fall in a few weeks.</p>

<p>Recommend you post this more generally in Financial Aid & Scholarships since it’s not an issue limited to Dartmouth. You might get more responses. I have no info myself. Good luck. </p>
