what are the best review books for AP Statistics?
currently im looking at 5 steps to a 5 or Barron's review..
both are new 2010 editions
Barron's has 7 practice tests, while 5 Steps to a 5 only has 2
Barron's is 30 bucks
5 steps to a 5 is about 18 bucks..

so which review book is the best in terms of
value?
how well the book teaches the content, so people can UNDERSTAND it ?
user friendly?
most likely to just help you in AP Stats overall?

5 steps to a 5 has calculator tips, which Barron's doesn't by the way

for those that took AP Stats, which review book did you find to be the most helpful?

I used Barrons but I can’t compare since I have never used 5 steps to a 5

and how was barrons for you?

I used barrons and never used 5 steps to a 5. However, from what I’ve heard, 5 steps to a 5 is much better. I regretted using barrons because it drove me crazy a week before the test. I thought I had no idea what was going on. And don’t compare the number of tests the books offer. Barrons tests are inaccurate. I got 2’s on all the exams I took (3 total) and I almost cried. But I got a 5 on the real AP exam. If you aren’t self-studying, your teacher will most likely give you released ap exams which are much more accurate.

yeah i thought Barrons was worse than 5 steps to a 5 (i flipped through both. I mainly used REA, however, and got a 5. I’ve never considered myself particularly mathematically inclined either so I think REA was a pretty solid book.

pretty much the same deal with AznCo0Co0 but I knew that about barrons already. My teacher told us to buy it but to know that it is much more difficult and confusing than the actual AP. I mean it helped int the sense that it overly prepared me for the exam but don’t like try to learn AP stat from barrons. Use it as a supplement if you use it at all.
