Hello,

So I'm currently a Junior Biotech student that has been maintaining a 4.0 (though to be exactly, 3.985 at the moment due to Organic II lab last semester lol) and I'm looking to go into Graduate school as soon as I finish my Bachelor's of Science degree at East Stroudsburg University.

The thing is, I was a Pre-Medicine major before last semester but am still keeping up with courses that have been recommended to me from my old pre-medicine advisor regardless because I would still like to keep my option of pursuing a degree of medicine open.

However, I would like to become a health administrator specifically in Respiratory and Cardiac related areas. I did shadow a couple of doctors within the last two years, mostly family doctors in a private care setting but I didn't ABSOLUTELY love the private clinic setting though. I did however also shadow a really laid back and cool Nephrologist that somewhat changed my mind on whether or not I'd prefer such a setting yet I felt it lacked something.

Last summer however, I shadowed my dad's cardiologist in a team setting at NYU Hospital last summer and absolutely loved the three days I spent with him and his medical school students (technically residents) doing rounds and actually applying diagnoses and taking care of patients in a team setting. I also saw a bunch of catherizations and was absolutely in awe in amazement of how cool angioplasty and stent procedures were.

Anyway, I've come to think that I could probably get a good Biotech in the NY, PA, or NJ tristate area after my BS degree while I go for a Master's Degree or pursue a degree in medicine.

Realistically though, I really would like to become the head of something, definitely cardiac or respiratory related yet I don't know if I have to be able to practice medicine to necessarily become a medical director of a cardiology or a respiratory department. From what I've researched for the past semester when I have free time, I believe that I most definitely need a Master's Degree which I'm totally psyched on completing regardless.

The thing is, should I go straight to medical school or would a Master's degree in Health Administration be sufficient?

And one more thing, personally, I am also considering doing a PHD program but I am unsure of what necessarily, but I'd love to be a part of a research program at least too.

I have the motivation to really do any of these ideas and I don't want to just end up with a BA degree and just work every week like my sister to be simply complacent and not go to graduate school so let me know what you think about my proposed plans: I'm open for criticism! :D

Thanks for reading so much! Sorry for the length, its just such a hard decision that I'm trying to make at the moment.
