Any suggestions?

For ACT use Princeton Review.

I haven’t received my most recent scores back yet, but I felt pretty damn confident that I did very well (33+). PR covered all the basic tricks and strategies that one needs to use in order to score well on all sections, especially reading and science.

Btw, I’ll update this when I get my scores back

Get the Blue Book for the SAT and the Red Book for the ACT (official books with official tests). Do all of the tests within. Thank me later.

haha yeah… also, my friend told me that the blue book and the barrons 2400 were the best for the SAT

Hey JHU, I recommend you look at this thread. It’s very insightful and gives a detailed analysis of each prep book: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/538932-what-sat-prep-book-should-i-get-sat-book-reviews.html

On a side note, do you guys think it’s necessary to take both the SAT and the ACT? I’ve heard the ACT is substantially easier, but is it worth it to take both? Will colleges look at one or the other?

^ I was about to recommend that thread, as well. Unused that thread to create my list. I’m purchasing 4 books next month.

I just got the Princeton Review SAT 2010 book. Looks really good so far

Closertothestars-
From what I’ve heard, it’s not a necessity. I have heard that it’s good to take both though, just to are how you do. Sometimes you might do much better on one rather than the other. I’m planning on taking both.

Sent from my ADR6400L using CC

Used Princeton Review for ACT & Barrons ACT 36.

28 → 31 → 35

The official ACT book (the red one) and the Barrons 36 is good too. Princeton Review Cracking the ACT is a good thorough review if you have the time to go through it. The Princeton Review 1296 Questions is good for review. I personally found some of their questions harder than the real ACT.

I used Kaplan and I guess it was okay.
