Best SAT II books for Self-Study

Hey guys!

So heres my situation, i am an international student and my school does not offer any AP or Honors courses. I plan on taking two SAT IIs in November.

I used to live in the States and was very interested in US history (grade school only though) but even up to know im so interested in it. So i was planning on taking the USH test. i heard the AMSCO book is really good. but is this only for people who already have indepth knowledge about US history or even for the people who are dont really have a solid background?

same goes for Bio, i took a course on it in Sophmore year, but no honors or AP. what book would be best? i hear PR is good, but a little to concise...that wouldnt be good for me right? considering my background isnt AP bio?

any suggestions or comments would be great :D :D

That contains a compilation of best review books. Some designations may also be made for best self-study as well if you read through it (it's long).

AMSCO is definitely the best for USH. IMO, it's definitely manageable too, even with limited knowledge.

Don't know about bio, but that thread link should be helpful. A question, though: if you are uncertain, why don't you take Math2? Personally, I wouldn't take it without at least an honors class, but I don't want to discourage you, that's just me. Still, consider math (it's the same in every country!).
