Best SAT II Prep Books

Hey,

I'm planning on taking the SAT Subject Tests for Math Level 2, US History, Biology, and English Literature this year. (I took Chemistry last year)

I am currently in AP Calc AB, APUSH, AP Biology, AP English Lit, AP Spanish Lang, and AP Music Theory.

Should I take any other SAT 2's or drop any of the ones I have? And when should I take them, given that AP tests are in May? How should I split them up?

Also, my main question.... can anyone suggest good prep books for each of my subject tests? If you could give me a title, and the score you earned by using them to study with, that would be amazing.

Thanks a lot, any help is greatly appreciated=)

If you're strong in math then the SAT II is cake. Just practice to get familiar with the questions so you can work quickly. Take it whenever.

If you're happy with your Chem score then just take 2 SAT II's this year (definitely take math if you're strong in it). There's no advantage to having more than three SAT II's. I'd recommend dropping US because it's a LOT of reading and memorization and there's much less leeway than on the AP. Between Bio and Lit, it's up to you, but take the practice tests in the Real SAT II Subject Tests book and see which one you do better on.

If you're taking Bio or USH then take it in June. If you take it in May you have other AP's to worry about so you won't just be focusing on Bio. If you take it in June then it contributes to studying for your final. Just make sure you don't get lazy too early. If you're afraid of that then take it in May.

I don't think you have to study particular terms for Lit so take it whenever.

I wouldn't recommend more than one test in the same day unless one of them doesn't require any preparation (aka math).
