I'm looking at books to study for the U.S. History subject test; I currently have Barron's (which I don't like), Krieger's Essential Content (for AP, but still good), and Klaff's No Bull Review (also good). Any other suggestions? Any comments on McGraw Hill's version?

I’ve heard many good reviews about essential content, and I’ve also heard horrific reviews about barron’s. Many people hear also praise AMSCO but I think Essential Content along with Sparknotes US History practice tests will get you to at least a 780 if not 800.

Direct Hits US History in a Flash: for the AP and SAT II

You can’t go wrong with this book…

AMSCO AP US History prep book!

Stay way from Barron’s for history subject tests.

I used a Kaplan Book from 2005-2006 this past May, and got a 790! Just use APUSH review books and its mostly main idea concepts!

Try REA’s crash course. It gives you lots of random facts that the SAT tests you on sometimes.
