Best schedule for Mechanical Engineering?

Hi. I am a upcoming freshman for this year. I have no clues for classes I need to take, avoid, etc.

I took AP Physics C Mechanics (4), Calculus AB (5), Chemistry & Biology (both got 4)

I also took Calculus BC this year and hoping to get at least 4.

I found the thread for easy misc classes, but I couldn't find some information about major classes for MechE. What classes do I need to take?

http://www.coe.berkeley.edu/current_students/announce/

pretty much all the info's on there.

I believe entering freshman follow a common schedule?
With your AP scores, probably something like:

Physics 7a
Math 1b
E7
R1A
E45 (beware, this class is a LOT of work)

maybe Chem1A if you want to boost your GPA (since you got a 4)

http://www.me.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/FlowchartS4-11-06a.pdf

Chem1A is definitely not what I would consider a "GPA booster", even for people who got a 5 on the AP exam. It's a weeder class and it has a good amount of work.

well you wouldn't take all of those classes. you'd probably take e28, math1a or 1b, chem 1a, and a humanities
