Best school for a English/PoliSci major

So... I'm (almost) all done applying to colleges, and I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some insight.

I have decided that I will major in English, despite the risk of a life spent sleeping in a box at Grand Central Station. I'm thinking of minoring or having a second major in political science (most likely concentrating in US gov-- definitely not international relations).

I applied to the following schools: Bard C, Boston U, Bowdoin C, Emory U, George Washington U, Lafayette C, C of William and Mary, and Wesleyan U.

Assuming I am offered admission to every school on the aforementioned list (which is highly unlikely, but nonetheless...), does anyone have any advice/input regarding which one of these schools would be best for someone pursuing my educational course?

Just your opinions would be greatly appreciated. I don't need a list of the top rated English programs...I did a search and found that already. Thanks a million. You guys rock! :)

no one? ok. i'll live, i suppose.

i did the same and bowdoin was phenomenal

What do you want to do with those English and PoliSci degrees?

you teach, go to law school, work in policy, work as a writer, run for office...lots of things.

I would say Bowdoin.

Definitely Yale .

Thanks...I was thinking Bowdoin as well, but I doubt I will be accepted.

And teenage_cliche, I want to be a political speech-writer one day. Well, that's my goal anyway. I'll probably just end up teaching, in publishing, or in law. :)

Kenyon College

In this order:

Bowdoin
William & Mary
Wesleyan
Emory
Bard/Lafayette
GWU/BU (last resort)
