The College of Wooster in Ohio has quite a good anth/arch major.

Among these schools: Kenyon, Oberlin, Grinnell, and Wesleyan University (Connecticut), which has the most to offer in Anthropology?

Unfortunately, it assumes a lot to think that anyone on CC has thoroughly (or even partially) researched such a specific department at such specific schools -- you're apt to just get opinions (based onwhat?) on here.

Here's my idea. Find their course catalog on line. Look at the courses. Try to get some biographical information on the faculty. Call the department and ask them about research opportunities and study abroad, or field opportunities. Then you might have a real sense about what kind of departments these are. It takes a little time, but well worth the research, especially because it seems like you know what you areally interested in!

If grades preclude getting into the top tier mentioned above and if looking at LACs - Beloit (WI)

In addition to weenie's suggestions, I would carefully examine the focus of the departments. Some anthropology departments have great offerings in all four main areas of anthropology; others prefer to specialize (usually in cultural anthropology).
