UC (10-12th grade) GPA- 3.65
SAT: 1700 ( Don't know why I scored so low, but oh well.)

Scores: 3's on all of them

Current APs: Environmental Science and Government

EC's:
- Six years of Tae Kwon Do
- Vice President of the Global Entrepreneurship Club at school
- Volunteer work at a local war veterans hospital
- Interned at a company for a summer
-Krav Maga for two years

Misc:
My essay's are solid as a rock.
Biology teacher wrote me an awesome letter of recommendation. (She went up to me and personally told me this.)

Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thank you!

:o Are you interested going Out-of-State or staying in California? There are many schools throughout America with good Biology courses.

I know UCSD is a good school for many sciences and is in Southern California (San Diego). You have very good (variety) extra curriculum, so it definitely is possible for you to get in!

I would absolutely love to go to UCSD, but my gpa is weighing my chances down, so I think i’m likely to receive a letter of rejection from them. My SAT also hinders my chance of acceptance as well. Going out of state is an option as well.

Not sure exactly where you applied but, here’s my SWAG.

As far as UCs, You may have a shot at UCM and UCR but, your stats don’t bode well for the other campuses. For the CSUs, SLO is unlikely, SDSU is 50/50 but, the rest you should sail into.

If you get into UCR and/or SDSU, they’d be the ‘best’, you can choose your favorite. If neither of those work out, UCM, CSULB, Cal Poly Pomona, Chico or Fullerton would be the next tier down.
Good luck,
