I live in upstate NY very close to Albany. I plan on going into biology as an undergrad and eventually getting my masters or higher at a grad school. The schools I’m considering are as follows:
SUNY New Paltz -affordable, perfect distance from home and close to NYC which could present opportunities.
Le Moyne - good distance from home but it’s even colder in Syracuse, has a good Bio program but I hear party life isnt fun there unless its at SU. Don’t get me wrong, I’m going to college to learn but want to have the full college experience where ever I go. Le Moyne could also present opportunites and connections with alums.
Siena College- super close to home, too close for my liking. I don’t want my parents dropping in whenever they want. However, their biology program is great and going here could set me up with connections and a career path from alums as well.
So, I’m asking you what your thoughts are on which is the best biology program for its money and which school’s name will stand out most outside of the northeast
