Hey, I'm a prospective environmental engineer on the east coast. I applied to Ivy League Engineering Programs & some others (MIT, Cooper, Hopkins). I was wondering if anybody knew which of these schools is the best for Environmental Engineering or if anybody had any insight into picking a school? I'm looking for a school that is progressive and ahead of the pack when it comes to environmental issues too.

any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

In order to satisfy the ABET requirement, environmental engineering in many schools have standard core courses. I am not sure how these courses can be "progressive". Maybe you want to look into environmental science and/or policy also, for which the course selection varies more among different schools. Env sci/policy is a very board and interdiscinplinary field and different schools approach it differently. In order to compare, you need to go through their websites.

@moodathis, hi! I saw that you made this post six years ago, and as a prospective environmental engineer, I was wondering which college you ended up studying at and why?
