preferably near DC, what would the best schools be for international affairs (eventually going into international law)? im assuming georgetown, american, GW...any others? im not sure if i can get in georgetown but thats my favorite so far

Middlebury, it's in Vermont though. Also, Macalaster. That's where Kofi Anan went.

Georgetown, ideally the Walsh School of Foreign Service there

I heard that Johns Hopkins is #2 in the nation after Georgetown. Of course, you can't go wrong with GW or American.

Also, Tufts has a strong program

Tufts has one of the strongest programs since the Fletcher School of Intl Law and Diplomacy is pretty much the best grad school in the country for it, obviously GW, American, and G-Town are excellent choices as well, I applied to all of em! Except g-town...too difficult... :(

if i went a school like american and did well would i be able to get into georgetown for law school? and would that be a good combo for looking for a job (american undergrad + georgetown law school) as an international law person?
ill look into johns hopkins and tufts too. i was in DC last week and it was very nice and i would love to be near there, but who knows... johns hopkins is like 15 mins from DC correct?

Nah, it's more like 45 mins from DC. Still pretty close, though

Andrassy --

AU law not too shabby (WCL).

Although a grad school perspective, but can apply to undergrad too check out the thread Ranking the IR Programs...
