Best school for math and computer science?

What didn’t you like about them? Was it because of the atmosphere, the campus, or because those are the schools your parents are making you apply to? Research more into the schools and you’ll probably find plenty of things to like and even love about them.

About RPI- you could probably get merit money if you keep your grades and SATs high. It can range anywhere from $10k to $20k. Of course, it’ll still cost $30k which is a huge amount. If you’re thinking about grad school, then save your parents the money and graduate debt free with cash available. Same goes for every other school as they will offer you merit aid as well.

How does middle of the class at Bronx Science compare to top of the class at most high schools in the country? My guess is pretty favorably, but I fear for the OP that some colleges are quite rigid about looking at class rank for selective programs like computer science. I would suggest that the OP urge the family to think about applications outside the northeast, which opens up a lot more possibilities.
